@RDRv3 Yes on mobility, but LTE is really a best effort wireless solution. 5G tries to close that gap through ultra-reliable (eg bounded latency). Enterprises more apt to consider 5G for mobile use cases over LTE, and maybe even over wired.

@RDRv3 One major aspect is the high-reliability across a wireless connection. Several vendors have their marketing terms for this. Can already provide highly reliable network connections via wired, but 5G raises the potential for using wireless. Implication are lower costs, mobility,etc

This one caught a lot of folks by surprise, but the industry needs a 5G platform for enterprises and developers to tap into the 5G's capabilities. In reality, a win for developers wanting to use 5G with Ericsson curating this ecosystem. Still, executing this vision will take time

However, CSPs remain slow to deploy 5G API gateways (e.g., NEF) so the question becomes, how long does it take for market to matriculate. 2, 3, or 5 years? Additional opportunity in Private 5G, but best outcome envisions CSPs being aggressive about SA 5G, and 5G API gateway use.

@ericsson acquiring @Vonage signals intent to evolve beyond traditional infrastructure business and into API-enablement. 5G APIs expected to be monetized based on exposure capabilities deployed by CSPs. More 5G APIs used by developers also drives more infrastructure needed. (1/2)
