Never regret a day in your life. Good days give happiness, bad days give experiences, worst days give lessons, and best days give memories.

Artemis II: Closing in on the MoonThe astronauts of Artemis II are now truly venturing into deep space — and the Moon is getting closer every hour. They have already traveled more than 200,000 miles (about 320,000 km) from Earth. With every passing moment, our home planet grows smaller in their windows, while the Moon looms larger ahead. Soon, the Moon’s gravitational pull — its “sphere of influence” — will begin to dominate, gently tugging the spacecraft into its embrace.Right now, the crew is fully immersed in the demanding routines of deep-space flight: Running critical checks on the life support systems that keep them alive
Testing communications with Earth across vast distances
Practicing manual flight maneuvers
And carefully preparing for the dramatic lunar flyby that lies just ahead
This is the moment Artemis II transitions from leaving Earth behind to preparing for humanity’s return to the Moon — not just orbiting it, but getting ready to push the boundaries of exploration once again. The journey is entering its most exciting phase.
The Twitter Modelologists refused to believe in The Norm MacDonald Rule, yet this post is aging like a fine wine. 🍷
The old techniques worked in the past, and they still work today.

This week should teach some meteorologists that the 500mb maps can be just as inaccurate as the surface maps.
You CANNOT use a flawed 500mb map as a justification for why a surface map can't be right.
Newsflash: The Models are imperfect representations of the atmosphere at all levels. Treating any level as if it is the Holy Grail will get you in trouble even from 3 days out.

From Jan 21. Notice the line about the blizzard possible later next week. No changes, on that, looks like blizzard from Carolinas and Va into SE New england with crucial I-95 corridor on nw edge. If I am going to change I will change it once, one way or the other, on Friday. When I put an idea out, I don't let model runs play ping pong with me and go back and forth with each run 1) You dont outsource your talent to the model. 2) You are only wrong once. BTW another snow threat by the middle of next week.
@JohnBolaris Hey @JohnBolaris - What are your thoughts on the ICON and NextGen 2.0 models? Both seem to be doing well forecasting this winter in North America.
