TEN THOUSAND!
That is the number of vaccines we have administered to people all over the Midwest! We would not be able to do this without all of our amazing staff, volunteers & community support. Thank you for trusting your local pharmacy. ❤️
Great Bloomberg @business piece about how @DrillingPharmac and other independent pharmacies across the country are filling gaps in the nation’s Covid vaccination campaign.
@ruima An interesting phenomenon (in the US, at least) is that TikTok has shown that it can turn people who aren’t great on traditional entertainment outlets into stars. For these two, more exposure has led to more backlash. (Dixie’s singing, criticism over the personal chef video, etc)
@ruima I predict it will be a big flop, much like their podcast. If the producers are just hoping for a profitable short-term endeavor, then sure. But it’s interesting to see this kind of ‘中国商业模式,” exported to the U.S. where big celebrities can do it all: sing, dance, act, etc.
@ruima I also wonder how much of its quick rise in popularity was due to the younger demographic looking for a social media platform that their parents (and grandparent!) weren’t on!
@ruima I think there’s truth to his statement if he’s speaking specifically to the U.S. market. With the exception of Vine, which was short-lived, there was a massive opportunity in the U.S., especially in the age 16–24 demographic.
