She is about to experience the indescribable joy reserved for Vendée Globe finishers. After two retirements (2012 and 2020), Sam Davies has completed the iconic round-the-world race, just as she did in 2008 (4th place), crossing the Vendée Globe 2024 finish line today at 1015 hrs (UTC). 💪

Stronger than the hardships, stronger than bad luck, stronger than the exhausting conditions of these past days—Sam has overcome it all, in her own way, with her ever-present enthusiasm, her sense of humor, and her passion for great adventures after 80 days, 22 hours, and 13 minutes at sea. 🙌

Not everything went as planned—because nothing ever does in ocean racing—but the Franco-British skipper managed to hold on, and that in itself is a victory. A true emblem of the IMOCA Class for over 20 years, she has once again proven her resilience and determination. ⛵️
