After 2+ years at @MidasRWA, I’ve decided to join thr Sky Frontier Foundation as the Global Head of Capital Markets.

I'm genuinely grateful to have been part of the Midas journey from the early, early days, helping build the platform from the ground up, scaling to $2B + in asset issuance, and closing a $50m Series A.

On May 18th, I joined @RuneKek at the SFF. The @SkyEcosystem sits at the intersection of tokenization, traditional capital markets, and onchain finance, three worlds that are now undeniably colliding. My focus will be leveraging Sky's growing balance sheet to deepen capital flows, by leveraging the most established institutions and capital channels to bring traditional finance meaningfully into the Sky Ecosystem.

Sky has been executing quietly and consistently for years with ~$11B in combined stablecoin supply, $15B in TVL, ~$450M in annualized revenue, and a $2.5B mandate to deploy into real-world assets across credit, AI infrastructure, energy, and housing.

Currently, USDS is the 3rd largest stablecoin while sUSDS is the world’s largest yield generating stablecoin. It’s clear that in a period of broader DeFi dislocation, Sky became the flight-to-safety. This is the product of a decade of rigorous risk management and protocol discipline tracing back to the earliest days of MakerDAO.

Capital markets run on trust. Sky has been building it longer than any protocol in DeFi by optimizing for one thing: capital preservation above all else. Sky is well positioned to build on that trust by expanding participation from traditional institutions across an increasingly mature ecosystem. I look forward to contributing to that effort!

Earlier this week, @John__Conneely and I, both representing the Sky Frontier Foundation, hosted an evening in New York with a group of institutional investors and various members from the @SkyEcosystem Agent Network.

The likes of @PIMCO, @Fidelity, @apolloglobal, @DCGco, @galaxyhq, https://t.co/r8wwKBNpQT, @krakenfx and @Polymarket joined us to discuss the current state of onchain capital markets. Not bad for a weekday night competing with Game 1 of the NBA Finals — we had a packed house!

The numbers speak for themselves:
~$11B USDS supply
~$15B total AUM
$6.5B in sUSDS deposits
$200M in yield paid out to sUSDS holders
$123.8M gross protocol revenue in Q1 2026 — the strongest quarter in protocol history
$611M gross revenue projected for full-year 2026

We continue to actively allocate to various asset managers in pursuit of the best risk-adjusted returns across onchain and traditional yield sources. The excitement in the room around onchain capital allocation, stablecoins, and tokenization was hard to miss...and for good reason. This is becoming the future of financial infrastructure, and we believe that Sky sits at the center of it.

A few things driving this imo…

Vanilla adoption… more platforms, more access points (eg. Earn programs backed by tokenized MM funds), more users discovering that idle digital dollars don’t have to stay idle.

Second (and maybe more interesting?) is liquidity. Investors are realizing that redemption timelines are (near) atomic, so holding a yb asset stops feeling like a trade-off.

@grovedotfinance Basin is a great example of the infrastructure making that possible. They’re making up to $1B in daily instant stablecoin liquidity available for tokenized RWA redemptions, built deep into the Sky ecosystem.

At ~$32.9B market cap, yield-bearing assets now account for ~10% of the stablecoin market.

Adoption is increasingly shifting toward dollars that generate yield, not just facilitate transactions.
