Obama on Putin meddling in our election: "He denies it. So the idea that somehow public shaming is gonna be effective, I think doesn't read the thought process in Russia very well.” https://t.co/9gexI6YLVW
This is almost literally it.
I think women dislike hearing this basic "food, sex, respect, don't be crazy" point because it implies that each lady is not an utterly unique magical being.
"Anyone could do THAT! A Good Man (TM) would love me for my unusual disagreeableness, personal feminism, and mid-rank marketing job!!!"
But, this reaction is frankly stupid. Any (normal, adult) man DOES have to personally like you before commitment, or often even before sex. This stage is where your wit and cute hobbies, etc come in. But, after the decision to bond, basic relationship responsibilities exist for y'all - and us. Yours are much easier.
Life is already hard. Don't make it harder by making up wholly unnecessary "moral" rules.
Ok, I'm going to explain this simply.
Tylenol reduces glutathione. Glutathione is an antioxidant that highly mitigates inflammatory damage. If a mother has an illness during pregnancy, something called maternal immune activation (MIA) can occur in response. This is known to cause deleterious effects to fetal development. This is all well documented and not controversial.
If she takes Tylenol during this inflammation to reduce symptoms, it can also cause a reduction in the ability to mitigate the inflammation, which can exacerbate any potential fetal damage. There is a risk to benefit ratio in every medication. In this instance, the risk is fetal damage, and the benefit is reduction in symptoms. The risk outweighs the benefit.
Vaccines cause inflammation. That is, in fact, the goal. Create inflammation to generate an immune response. So pregnant women are given vaccines, which causes inflammation, and cause MIA, which potentially harms fetal development, and then are given Tylenol, which simply exacerbates the situation.
I really wish people would just look at these things from an empirical perspective and stop politicizing everything.
Feel free to look up anything I just said. It's all textbook medical knowledge.
For decades, doctors implored pregnant women to take extra care of themselves, avoid all drugs, toxic foods, get adequate rest, reduce workload, etc, because a developing fetal is exceptionally vulnerable.
Please stop spreading incorrect information that harms patients.
After 11 years as a sports columnist at the Seattle Times, I have decided to resign. It was entirely my choice, and it was not an easy one. The impetus was the Times declining to run a column I wrote from the perspective of two female student athletes who were opposed to competing against biological males. It was one of several pieces of mine that had been spiked, and I no longer felt like I could properly do my job as a columnist. I lay out the situation in greater detail in the link below, but I want to say that I enjoyed my time with the paper, find the talent there to be immense, and have no animosity toward anyone who works there. It was just time for a change.

The media never mentioned that the police officers called an ambulance immediately when Floyd complained of shortness of breath.
Unusual behavior for “murderers”.
Did you know the ambulance went to the wrong address?
Did you know the Medical Ventilator the EMT’s hooked George Floyd up to was not plugged in?
None of these details were allowed in Derek Chauvin’s trial..
I remember when I saw all of the footage at the time, something seemed very off and staged about the entire thing.
There isn't a really good right-wing equivalent and here is why:
Woke 1.0 was a massive and insanely powerful cultural force that was the most disruptive censorious and vindictive movement since McCarthyism
Here are some things that happened during Woke 1.0:
- The MLB ripped an All-Star game away from Atlanta over politics
- Mass censorship across every social media network, including censorship of academics and gov't officials
- mass firings over vaccines (even among pregnant women and remote workers)
- the unpublishing of massively popular children's books and the industry-wide crackdown on even allowing third parties to sell used copies of those books
- Racially motivated lockout from publishing and academia that remains to this day
- If we're counting post-Floyd events, a 40% increase in the murder rate (it was so craaaazy)
There is nothing even remotely equivalent like that on the right. People are saying "2020 election truthers" but that isn't something that made any difference to the lives of normal people.
@FoxNews The sad reality, there will come a time in a woman’s life who aborted a baby that the psychological damage will so extreme they will go into severe depression and may take their life because of the guilt they carry. The child was never born, but it will burn in her heart forever.
It created a lot of justified anger that this type of clearly illegal discrimination was just normalized and accepted until now.
The government taking action against it is necessary and important to restore trust in the system.
🔥🚨 BREAKING: Duke University's law school in Durham, North Carolina has been formally accused by the Trump DOJ of illegally rigging its admissions against white and Asian students across three straight classes 2023, 2024, and 2025.
The numbers are devastating: in both 2024 and 2025, white and Asian applicants who were REJECTED had higher median LSAT scores than Black applicants who were ADMITTED.
