The justice system is about rehabilitating people and getting them back into society; leaving them unable to take care of their medical concerns does us all a disservice.
Dialysis keeps patients alive, and it’s much easier to do that on a schedule, before problems may happen, rather than emergently, after a problem’s already occurred!
4. Homeless individuals are some of our most at-risk patients for heart attacks. We must do a better job at getting the lifesaving care they need, when they need it.
