Arron Banks gave what was, at the time, the largest ever political donation to Leave EU. He visited the Russian embassy several times. Was that to discuss business, or was it to discuss something much more interesting to the Russians, namely Banks' ability to deliver Putin the prize of Brexit?
Around the same time Banks started parroting Russia propaganda lies about Putin's 2014 invasion of Ukraine, including the blatant lie that Crimea is as Russian as the Isle of Wight is British, ignoring the fact that after conquering the territory in the late 18th century, Russia effectively exterminated the main part of Crimea's native Tatar population.
Farage, Brexit and Russia are inextricably entangled. Farage is Moscow's man in the UK, and Banks was his Russian linked Brexit bankroller
Another hit for Russian backed candidate Mr Farage. A real newspaper might have devoted a front page or two to his five million quid “gift for security” (sic) Amazing what can happen when the son of a KGB agent owns a paper and Thailand crypto billionaire gives money to burn
You've nailed it @MarinaPurkiss. Vote Reform – and you're voting for crypto billionaires, secret donors, and Kremlin friends. The choice isn't Labour vs Tory anymore. It's democracy vs grift. 🗳️💷
Trump said he could shoot someone in New York and not lose a vote.
Farage can take a £5m bribe and not lose a vote.
That says everything about their followers.
#NeverReform
At what point do we stop pretending our newspapers are ‘news’ and start calling them what they are…
Promotional pamphlets for the billionaires who own them and the agendas they’re selling.
@simonwatt85 Plus Reforms only plan is to remove our human rights by taking us out of ECHR and then financially rape the country - so very obviously seeing as that's all they care about and in plain sight
@simonwatt85 A credible plan like this one from ten years ago? One he's repeated many times under different political guises.
#TimeforReform to admit they are the problem, not the solution.
@simonwatt85 Labour actually are stopping the boats and they do their MP appointments in their own constituency and the turn up to vote in parliament so it's a no brainer by comparison isn't it
In 2024, The Sun led with several stories regarding Starmer receiving clothes & spectacles from a Labour donor - even repeating accusations he’s “King of the Freebies”
In 2026, The Sun hasn’t published a *single story* about Farage receiving a £5m gift from a Reform donor
