@kenoath58 @mattjcan I disagree. Politicians are not willing to take longer term risks, particularly in the area of taxation reform, when they are facing an electorate in a short period of time. If you want real reform it can only happen if the short cycle is removed.

@kenoath58 @mattjcan No governments work differently. As well as providing g&s that would not be viable for private business, such as universal healthcare, infrastructure etc., fiscal policy is used to counterbalance economic swings to ensure not so many people lose jobs in downswings.
