@Krocolasticas@orenbarsky Why do you bother wasting time asking me about my condition only to go on and answer your own question by blaming it on my innocent parents? 😂
@Fullantho Shouldn't be a surprise. Cuba experienced heavy immigration from the Canary Islands. Before Spain arrived in the Canary Islands, they were populated by the Guanches who arrived from North Africa (Berbers) who probably arrived in the first century.
Angela Oakley: “After all these years Knicks fans finally got to witness history…& so did Charles. Nobody could stop this moment…City celebrating…Charles got to see the team he gave his heart to make history. Some things bigger than politics & egos. Tonight belongs to NY”
Question: “Were you surprised by Novak Djokovic’s level?”
Jannik Sinner: “No. He’s won 24 Grand Slams. He’s the greatest of all time and reminded us why. I’ll take this as a lesson.”

In 1303, during a lull in the Reconquista, 6,500 unemployed Catalan mercenaries were hired by the Byzantines to check the advance of the Turks in Anatolia.
This "Catalan Company" gained a series of victories over the Turks, driving them back in West Asia, buts so ravaged the country and was so unruly that Emperor Michael IX decided to ambush it, succeeding in killing its leader yet failing to fully destroy it.
Furious at this betrayal, the Company regrouped under new management, inflicted a serious defeat on the Byzantine army, and continued to ravage Thrace for 2 years. Moving on to Greece, the Latin-ruled Duchy of Athens hired the Company, but when it cheated them of their promised pay, the mercenaries killed the Duke of Athens and took over the kingdom.
For 70 years, this dukedom was under company rule as a private fiefdom of the Catalans until at last they were dislodged from the country by the "Navarrese Company," another hired group of Spanish mercenaries.
@mxss1mo Just for context, 2nd place at the US open is $2,500,000. Regardless who wins I can promise you that the runner up will not regret showing up to collect that check.
