If you find yourself in St James's Park you can explore the park with this rather fantastic self-guided #tree #walk!!! Co-produced by myself and others during my time at @theroyalparks as a #treeofficer. Download from the link or hard copies available.

@BigHDLStan depends on what azx is!

[Greg Packman @GregPackman]

@graceyldn I work in St James's Park and that does happen quite a bit!

[Greg Packman @GregPackman]

@graceyldn Looks like that Brewdog guy after a hair transplant

[Greg Packman @GregPackman]

@youwouldknow The botox

[Greg Packman @GregPackman]

@TranquiloClubYT This video would have been so good! Your videos were part of my AEW journey in 2021!

[Greg Packman @GregPackman]

@graceyldn Aaagggghhhhh I see this so much on the train and tube!! Why do people do this???

[Greg Packman @GregPackman]

@JustPlaneNews @wightman @TheStreetTree @ArbAssociation @treeruss @RussellHorsey @JeremyDBarrell @AdamCormack_ @Stumpupfortrees @paulpowlesland Don't know what the condition was like before but the stubs are dying back as the cuts are too large for the tree to cope with. Looks like a Norway maple (?) Which doesn't cope so well with this level of pruning.

[Greg Packman @GregPackman]

@BackupHangman The tone was set when they celebrated having the largest gate, the crowd cheering for being charged so much! Then the legends coming out to brownnose Netflix execs and advertise products really killed it

[Greg Packman @GregPackman]

@BigHDLStan it has its moments, fewer these days tbh. although most of my timeline is just cat videos

[Greg Packman @GregPackman]

@JustPlaneNews @haringeycouncil @WoodlandTrust @AdamCormack_ @TheStreetTree @paulpowlesland @treeruss @TM_Hackney @BBCLondonNews @HaringeyCP @HamandHigh @BristolTreeFora @STRAWPlymouth @UK_Treescapes @Stumpupfortrees @ChesterPlane @RussellHorsey do you know if they did any further investigation or decay detection work?

[Greg Packman @GregPackman]

@graceyldn Amazing show!

[Greg Packman @GregPackman]

@aliceinwineland I'm organising a tree event next year and one of my first decrees is that children are banned!

[Greg Packman @GregPackman]

@othingstodo_com Even into the early 2000s we were out in the woods, river, park, wandering around all the time

[Greg Packman @GregPackman]

@paulpowlesland The cost, logistics and very low rate of it successfully establishing after transplanting means you're much better off using the time and money to plant several new ones

[Greg Packman @GregPackman]

@graceyldn They land on my head when I'm at work

[Greg Packman @GregPackman]

@JustPlaneNews @treeruss @JeremyDBarrell @_JoelAshton @ArbAssociation @TheStreetTree @TreeMusketeer by and large ecologists don't do tree risk management

the only people that can really comment on and advise on this sort of issue are experienced and qualified arboriculturists

[Greg Packman @GregPackman]

@JustPlaneNews @treeruss @JeremyDBarrell @_JoelAshton @ArbAssociation @TheStreetTree @TreeMusketeer For me it's the same criteria that I mentioned for a tree with Ganoderma. There's an argument that Perenni is a more aggressive decayer than Gano

Also factoring in the life left of the tree and if establishing a new one is more valuable and worthwhile comes into decision making

[Greg Packman @GregPackman]

@BermondseyTrees @TheStreetTree @KewScience Give it time!
