How to pass the SAVE America Act in two easy steps:
(1) Cancel the freaking recess and call us back into session
(2) Announce that (A) we will remain in session continuously, debating the bill until it passes, and (B) any senator wishing to filibuster will be required to speak
Today's SCOTUS ruling was a huge victory for election security.
But as I explain in this clip, Congress still needs to pass the SAVE America Act—now more than ever.
@LeaderJohnThune, please reconvene the Senate immediately & announce that we'll debate that bill until it passes!
The Bible I was told to fear turned out to be the love letter I’d been kept from.
For years I was warned away from it.
I believed it was corrupted and dangerous. Changed. Don’t trust it.
So imagine my shock when I finally opened it and found, not a corrupted mess, but the most
coherent, historically anchored, prophetically stunning story ever told.
A story that ran from a garden to a cross with a thousand threads all pulling one direction.
And at the center of it: not rules to fear, but a Father running to embrace a prodigal. A Shepherd leaving ninety-nine for one. A God becoming flesh to die for His enemies.
The book I was told to fear was a love letter, and I’d been kept from reading it. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16.
That’s not the sentence of a corrupted book.
That’s the heart of God, written down, waiting for me the whole time. The corruption claim didn’t just cost me the truth for years.
It cost me the love letter.
Don’t let it cost you too.
Open the book you were told to fear.
You’ll find the God who’s been loving you the whole time.
THE SCIENCE: Every state's attorney general should prosecute Dr. Fauci on behalf of mothers who took the COVID-19 shot and suffered a miscarriage. While Biden's blanket pardon of Fauci may protect him federally, it doesn't protect him from state charges. Elon is right.
The people in this painting—on the deck of the Speedwell in 1620—are the Pilgrims whose departure from Holland is commemorated in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda.
The painting depicts the first leg of their long journey, which would end in Massachusetts.
They were sailing to England to join the Mayflower, the ship that would ultimately carry them to Plymouth after the Speedwell proved unseaworthy and had to turn back.
They left Europe to build a community grounded in the Bible, family, and the conviction that every human life is made in the image of God and is therefore sacred.
William Brewster holds the open Bible.
Pastor John Robinson lifts his hands toward heaven.
Children gather around their parents.
Even the armor lying on the deck is telling: they were not abandoning the need for self-defense, but seeking to establish a new community ordered by their faith rather than endless conflict.
What would they make of Massachusetts’ new law extending abortion rights until the moment of birth?
I imagine they’d be absolutely horrified.
They crossed an ocean so their children could live free under God’s law, not so later generations could decide which unborn children may be discarded, including those already capable of surviving outside the womb.
The same Christian moral framework that shaped their understanding of religious liberty also taught them that the deliberate taking of innocent human life is a grave offense against God—and against the most vulnerable among their fellow human beings.
The painting hangs in the Capitol as a reminder of the people who helped plant the seeds of this nation.
Massachusetts was their destination—and their destiny.
The law just signed there is a profound rejection of the moral inheritance they carried ashore.
After I left from Islam, I had a point in life where I examined all the different religions, including Judaism and Christianity.
As I studied the Old Testament, I couldn’t deny it - Jesus is written all over the Old Testament.
Let me give a profound example:
There’s a law in the Old Testament about “accidental killers.” Numbers 35.
If a man killed someone unintentionally, the victim’s family could hunt him for blood vengeance.
But God set up cities of refuge. Reach the city, and you’re safe. Numbers 35:11-15.
But two conditions.
You had to STAY inside the city.
And you could only go free when one specific person died: the high priest.
“After the death of the high priest the manslayer may return.” Numbers 35:28.
The death of the high priest set every refugee free.
I was a guilty man running, blood on my hands.
And Jesus is called “a great high priest.” Hebrews 4:14.
His death is the death that opens the door.
Every guilty person hiding in Him walks free the moment the High Priest dies.
But here’s the wonder:
Jesus is BOTH. He’s the city I flee into, “we who have fled for refuge” (Hebrews 6:18) AND the High Priest whose death releases me.
The refuge and the ransom, in ONE Person.
I ran into Him to escape judgment. And His own death is what set me free inside Him.
Cuando los extranjeros votan, tu derecho al voto pierde su poder.
Es fácil votar en los Estados Unidos como extranjero, aunque es un crimen bastante serio.
¡Por eso necesitamos el SAVE America Act!
IT'S WORTH ANOTHER TRY 🚨
Raise your hand ✋️ if you want @realDonaldTrump to use the authority vested in him under (Art-II-sec 3) to call the Senate back into session, in order to debate the Save America Act
You did it before.. Trump does hear you
THE POWER OF X IS REAL 💥
Senate Democrats will never again utter the words “we can’t pass it because we don’t have 60 votes” when their party controls the House, Senate, and the White House.
Neither should we.
We should either consistently require filibustering senators to speak or—if not that—nuke it.
🇺🇸Sen. Rick Scott says the Senate must FORCE a floor vote RIGHT NOW on the SAVE America Act, or it's too late for the midterms
"We have 50 votes. We can win this. But what we have to do is we have to VOTE!" ‼️
"We have GOT to get election security done. My goal is we're going to STAY HERE until we get something done to make sure our elections in November are secure!" ✅
MORE OF THIS
Senator Kennedy (R-LA) said, “If there’s a motion made of this floor to have us remain here until we get our work done,
I’m going to vote yes.”
✅ CR to fund gov’t
✅ Confirm Todd Blanche
✅ Budget resolution to include SAVE America Act funding
Thank you, @SenJohnKennedy! This is what we want & expect.
🚨Things are moving in a favorable direction.
Senate GOP discussions are becoming less about *whether* to stay and strengthen election security (à la SAVE America Act) and more about how exactly to go about it.
Baby steps to SAVE America! 🇺🇸
🚨 UPDATE: Sen. Rick Scott says the Senate must FORCE a floor vote RIGHT NOW on the SAVE America Act, or it's too late for the midterms
"We have 50 votes. We can win this. But what we have to do is we have to VOTE!" 🔥
"We have GOT to get election security done. My goal is we're going to STAY HERE until we get something done to make sure our elections in November are secure!" 🇺🇸
When there’s a bill that’s supported by 85% of American voters—including 95% of Republicans and 71% of Dems—we shouldn’t have to beg and plead with Senate GOP leadership to help advance it
Nor should it be an excuse that “we don’t [yet] have 60 votes”
Make filabusterers speak!
The Bible is truthful. The Quran lies.
The Quran lied to me about how good Gods grace really is. The Bible never hid it.
Islam holds the prophets sinless (isma). So the Quran systematically smooths their failures:
Aaron didn’t make the calf (Surah 20:90). Absent.
Abraham’s lies about Sarah being his sister? Absent.
David and Bathsheba, adultery and arranged murder? Absent. David is only a righteous king.
Solomon’s idolatry? Recast; he’s a repentant, righteous prophet.
The Bible refuses to whitewash anything. That makes me believe it WAY more.
David commits adultery, then has Uriah killed to cover it. 2 Samuel 11. Confronted, he collapses in repentance: “Against You, You only, have I sinned.” Psalm 51:4.
Abraham lies twice out of fear. Genesis 12, 20. Solomon’s heart turns to idols. 1 Kings 11:4.
So now we have two different narratives, and here’s the conclusion I came to:
A book inventing heroes makes them clean. A book telling the truth records their worst, and shows God working through broken people anyway.
That’s the whole gospel, by the way. God saves sinners, not the sinless. “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.” 1 Timothy 1:15.
The Bible’s honesty about its heroes is the honesty of a real record. And it’s good news for me, because if God only used the sinless, there’d be no hope for any of us.
Praise the Lord Jesus!
I am not a member of this man's church. But I have thought hard about what that man was walking into on the morning he replied this to me, and I think I understand why he was going, and I think my own tradition has half forgotten something his has not.
Nobody inside that building is going to explain the tumor. What it does instead is put him to work. He goes down into a font resting on the backs of twelve oxen, and he is baptized for people he never met, who died in countries he has never seen, whose names somebody had to go and find.
That is the part outsiders never quite absorb.
The whole system runs on names. Somewhere a person is sitting with a parish register from a Danish village, hunting for a woman nobody has spoken of in two centuries, because in that theology it is intolerable that anyone be lost track of. It is the same instinct that sent teams into the snow in 1856 and sent their descendants back to Rock Creek in 1987 to write down the dead.
The mormons are a people constitutionally unable to leave a body in a ditch. He puts on white clothing, and so does everyone else in the room, and for a few hours there is no way to tell the surgeon from the widow.
Nobody inside the temple is going to ask him how he is holding up. Nobody is going to say the thing people say in the church foyer that makes you want to put your fist through a wall. It is one of the last rooms in America where the expectation is silence.
Grief with nothing to do with its hands turns inward and rots. The temple gives grief a job.
And then there is the veil. A curtain, with someone on the other side of it that you cannot see, and you are brought through it by the hand. For most people in the room that is a beautiful symbol. For a man in his condition it is not a symbol at all. It is the future. In the sealing rooms there are mirrors on facing walls, so that when you look into one you see the reflection going back and back with no end to it.
A family kneels at an altar and is told that this arrangement is not dissolved by death. And he has been taught something more specific than that, which their founding prophet taught and their leaders have repeated for nearly two centuries: that a child who dies is not lost to her parents, and that in the resurrection they will have the raising of her.
The phrase families are forever can hold a man up or it can paper him over, and which one it does depends entirely on who is saying it and why. Said to a father on the floor, by someone willing to get on the floor with him, it is one of the strongest sentences in American religion.
So when a man tells me that his daughter died of a brain tumor and then tells me where he is going to the temple, I do not hear a man with an answer. I hear a man refusing to let the tumor write the ending.
He is walking into a building where the dead are spoken of as though they are still somewhere, because they are.
In suffering, redemption is still possible, and love has the final word.
Final does not mean current. The final word has not been spoken yet. We are somewhere in the middle of the sentence, and the middle of the sentence is unbearable, but the final word will come soon.
PRAY🙏: A 25-year-old Ugandan pastor was killed hours after participating in a public Christian-Muslim debate where two Muslim women reportedly converted to Christianity.
Witnesses said Pastor Bernard Mulongo was threatened afterward by Imam Hassan Musa, who allegedly told him, "You deserve death" for leading Muslims to Christ.
Later that evening, after a radio interview, armed men on motorcycles stopped Mulongo and his friend. The friend escaped, but Mulongo was captured and later found dead with multiple injuries.
Police are investigating the murder, and Musa is considered a suspect but remains at large. Mulongo is survived by his wife and two young children.
Please pray for the hurting believers and non believers in Yemen, Sudan, Syria, Iran, and Palestine today. Their lives are nothing like ours sadly. We must bear our crosses intensely this week in honor of those who cannot publicly stand for Christ. Jesus, bless your children and bring us home. Amen.!
