@mitrealityhack @XrTerra XR Terra rules! & Gregory (@Greg_0S ) was a super-mentor at the hack: https://t.co/SqklNDE54S Great place to learn XR dev and design skills.
A good friend of mine told me I didn't have enough videos explaining what Rave Gazebo is, so expect a couple more of these sprinkled into the schedule.
I like trains! I learned from trying to optimize previous songs that instead of having a variety of different objects I would instead try copying and pasting the same object over and over and then use portals to make the scene look more dynamic.
I'm so glad @RatfaceOfficia1 made such good music for this song, because designing the visuals was like a baptism by fire from an optimization perspective. The end result is my wife's favorite song, so I'm really proud of where it ended up. Flinging bouncy lobsters around is fun!
The audible effect of a user's interactions must be immediate. A lot of the transition is covered by a quick stinger that plays when the input is detected, but we did some extra work #BehindTheScenes to add drum fills to help the transition.
I really love the #music@RatfaceOfficia1 and I made for this #track, which made it much easier for me to develop the #visuals for #songs I hadn't gotten the stems for yet. You always remember your first.
The diagram of the music system became more necessary as our environments moved away from the abstract cube shape to more complex environments that didn't translate as cleanly.
