#logline When a jaded detective is pulled into a duplicate Earth, suspended in time and crucial to humanity's survival, she must battle an unhinged scientist hellbent on destroying it.
COMPs: "The Matrix" meets "I am Legend"
Feedback from a prodco, "I can see why the script has done well, it is incredibly ambitious but very well written. I can see this has really strong potential... try to shop it around with the big studios...such a rich world and character, that I could see this adapted to TV."
Thx @Stage32 & congrats to all. "When an emo-teen singer's band quits on the eve of a break-in music competition, her last hope against fierce, young rivals is for her estranged Dad to reform his aging 80s band." Also made the finals of PAGE. Trailer: https://t.co/IXtgWHR6Zu
@Todd_Spence I was a young Flight Attendant working in First Class. Another passenger was being rude and mean. Mr. Lewis would repeatedly call me over. He said he didn't want anything, he just wanted to get me away from that (insert word). Small thing but I never forgot.
Reworked the logline: "A tenacious scientist living in miles of interconnected pods on a post-apocalyptic Earth, returns from a mission to discover her fellow residents gone and an alien force hellbent on humanity's destruction." It's Oblivion meets Outland.
James Cameron: “This is why I love New Zealand. People there are, for the most part, sane as opposed to the United States where you had a 62% vaccination rate, and that’s going down, going the wrong direction. Where would you rather live? A place that actually believes in science and is sane and where people can work together cohesively to a common goal, or a place where everybody’s at each other’s throats, extremely polarized, turning its back on science and basically would be in utter disarray if another pandemic appears? I’m not there for the scenery, I’m there for the sanity.”
Got a double recommend and meeting request from @Stage32 for this one "When a jaded detective is pulled into a duplicate Earth, suspended in time and crucial to humanity's survival, she must battle an unhinged scientist hellbent on destroying it." I Am Legend meets Annihilation
Made the semis in @Stage32@MammothPictures horror comp! “When mutant teens attack a remote township, the hapless Sheriff's last hope is to coax an elderly killer doll, an aging slasher, and an old demonic nun out of retirement for one last epic battle."

Made the QFs in @Stage32@MammothPictures horror comp. "When mutant teens attack a remote township, the hapless Sheriff's last hope is to coax an elderly killer doll, an aging slasher, and an old demonic nun out of retirement for one last epic battle."

@PhoenixBlackNow How about, "After a single mom marries into a small-town, she suspects a ring of vampires led by her new step-son are preying on the town's children and must battle to uncover the truth to save her daughter." Loved The Stepfather, so is Dad a vampire too?
Today I was offered my first ever "Literary Purchase Agreement" from a production company for the purchase of my comedy script "Dad Band" which placed in the finals of @PAGEawards.
The ending of Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987) is one of the great emotional pivots in American comedy. The moment Neal pieces it together on the train and returns to find Del still waiting, the entire film reframes itself in a single shot.
Got my first RECOMMEND for this one (as a writer) #logline "When mutant teens attack a remote township, the hapless Sheriff's last hope is to coax an elderly killer doll, an aging slasher, and an old demonic nun out of retirement for one last epic battle."
Did another pass on this one: "When her visiting grandson goes missing from her retirement village, a former journalist discovers a cabal of residents engaged in horrific experiments forcing her to fight for their survival." Comps: Get Out meets Cocoon. Contained creature feature
