People are so hung up on the 'R in Pasta' thing that they're ignoring the fact that the American pronunciation of /ˈpɑ:stə/ is much closer to the Italian /ˈpaːsta/ than the British /ˈpæstə/. Nobody gets it exactly right but pɑ sounds closer to pa to my ears than pæ does.

Lost first round 0-2 to Dimir Excruciator. Bad matchup + my opponent had a very anti control build. Lots of draw-go and duress-go in this game.
