Šodien mēdzam dzirdēt aicinājumus “to visu atstāt pagātnē”. Nē. Mēs savu vēsturi nedrīkstam atdot tiem, kuri grib “atmazgāt” padomju okupāciju, relativizēt komunistisko teroru un pārrakstīt Latvijas vēsturi tā, lai agresors izskatītos pēc “atbrīvotāja”.

Šodien Krievija Ukrainā dara to pašu. Kopš 2022. gada Ukrainā pārvietoti ap 4,7 miljoniem cilvēku. Ukrainas bērni nolaupīti, deportēti un nodoti adopcijai krievu ģimenēs, Krievija mērķtiecīgi mēģina izdzēst ukraiņu identitāti.

14. jūnijs ir piemiņas diena. Tā ir diena, kurā mēs sargājam patiesību - nosaucam vārdā noziegumu, okupāciju un atbildīgos. Kamēr to darām, tikmēr Latvija nav zaudējusi ne atmiņu, ne mugurkaulu.

As a Japanese watching the UK right now, I have one simple question.

A Sudanese asylum seeker just tried to behead a local man in Belfast. The victim lost an eye.

This comes after years of grooming gangs raping thousands of British girls — gangs that police and councils deliberately ignored because they were afraid of being called racist.

In Japan, even one case like this would have triggered national outrage and immediate policy reversal.

But in Britain, the conversation is still about “not being far-right.”

I think you missed the plot.
Then again, that’s becoming a pattern.

I graduated from West Point.
I went through Army flight school.
I learned to fly the AH-64 Apache.
I deployed to combat and flew 55 combat missions over Baghdad.

Nobody handed me a cockpit because of my skin color.

Nobody lowered the standards for me.

Nobody looked at me and said, “Let’s check a diversity box.”

That’s what people like you don’t seem to understand.

Suggesting that Black pilots, Black engineers, Black doctors, or Black leaders need special preferences to succeed is not empowering, it’s insulting.

I didn’t want a different standard.
I wanted the same standard.

And when you’re flying into combat, the American people don’t care what race the pilot is.

They care whether the pilot is qualified.

Merit isn’t racist.
Excellence isn’t discriminatory.

And reducing every achievement to skin color says far more about your worldview than it does about mine.

This is Iryna, she was only 18.

Yesterday, she passed away after a week-long battle for her life, succumbing to severe injuries sustained during the russian attack on Kyiv on June 2nd🕯

Iryna was a sophomore, studying psychology at Mykhailo Drahomanov Ukrainian State University.

Russia killed her for being Ukrainian.
