Poland and Lithuania celebrate the 3rd of May 1791 Constitution, the most advanced document of state law at the time.
Even though the Commonwealth was defeated and partitioned by imperial powers, the principles of equality of th Constitution are still valid today.

We believe that the beauty of olefin metathesis lies in its remarkable flexibility and versatility.
In 2018 we explored the chain clipping/ring contraction with unprotected dienes. To probe the above strategy, we chose to start with precursors of macrocyclic musks. To shift alkenes, we opted to use Grotjahn’s “alkene zipper” catalyst (Ru(Cp), a purchasable complex that has been shown to promote a that has been shown to promote E-selective isomerization.

We are very excited to present our recent work, which just appeared in @ScienceMagazine (Ahead of Print) on a deconstructive synthesis strategy for efficient, programmable and stereocontrolled preparation of precisely modified macrocyclic skeletal analogs.
