i hope u remember that keeping ur music playing 24/7 just to get numbers up is really not legitimate and does not make your fave group more popular... can we be for real for a second like please it's all fake
@australianracha peoples relationships to Kpop is entirely personal. If they wanna spend all day thirsting over Chan and not stream that is 100% in their right and you need to make peace with that
@hanloverr8 ?We are not obligated to stream for the purpose of boosting their music. Putting forth alot of work doesn't mean you're entitled to people liking your product. This is such a strange way of thinking
I was thinking about how there has been so few interviews for this album. That's something I've always enjoyed about comebacks. Its been a bummer & it makes this album feel like bit of a throw-away.
glad we’re talking about how insane it is that this&that is close to having zero promo and the end of the era already having been formally announced three days in lol. mushows are gonna end after a single week again too. div1 throws in some useless billboards and small gatherings that benefit no one but rich and well connected fans and make no effort to promote them in the country. they barely even manage to promote them to fans and gave up on any international promo as well😭 genuinely so bonkers, skz deserve better. any other company with such a massively successful group on their hands would put them EVERYWHERE. you’d think they’d go all out for this cb in specific but nooo
@hearts4yonglix Youre right. If you like it you'll listen to it. So then why get upset when the numbers are low? That means folks maybe didnt like it much. its strange to me to then come on X & tell folks to listen to an album that maybe many arent connecting with
@difftlah@hearts4yonglix Its a product. Thats just what happens when you join a label. You are making 1st & foremost a product. They fought to have more agency in the creation, but they likely create it w/the goal of it being successful in mind. imo when success is prioritized its a product 1st & art 2nd
@ActuallyNotB I dont have too much of an issue when its encouraging it but admittedly this is a common obsession and focus to me and I think its indicative of alot of things in the Kpop fandom space...
@d0ubley0uth This issue is that no one is obligated to listen to all of SKZ's released music if they dont want to. TBH I like 2 songs on the new album and thats it. I love alot of other music. If I want to listen to it I will. But I wont make time for it and thats ok
@lixiesflower I appreciate your thought-out response but I disagree about making this into a conversation about privilege. That to me, is bizarre and unnecessary. You could be the most privileged person on earth and choose not to stream their music and that would be ok
@hanloverr8 and what we're saying is that SKZ aren't entitled to our support. If you don't like a song you are not obligated to listen to it. thats why folks get annoyed.
@nawmiis we know that when we listen to SKZ music we're streaming, its that these twts are asking us to non-organically listen to their music. Many others and I aren't gonna do that. We'll listen to when we want to. It doesn't matter if its easy, its simply not an obligation
@hearts4yonglix smh. its cuz it's not a goddamn requirement. SKZ are not entitled to our time or labor. It is their choice to be in StrayKids. if folks aren't organically streaming that just means STAY didn't like the album. Which is a form of criticism, which, mind you, is a part of making art
