Big checks, local brakes: a $35B campus plan, Google’s Wyoming power agreements, and new approval pauses in Raleigh and San Francisco. This week’s Grid & Data Center Brief: https://t.co/RKpFBXnR7c
America doesn't just have a power shortage.
It has a shortage of the people who know how to solve it.
As AI drives unprecedented demand for electricity, we need more generation, transmission, substations and interconnection capacity.
But none of it gets built without people.
Utility engineers. Grid planners. Power developers. Linemen. Project developers. Energy executives. The people who know how to turn land and ambition into energized megawatts.
America has the opportunity to build the infrastructure that powers the AI era, and the talent that
America’s AI ambitions are colliding with two shortages: power and the people who know how to deliver it.
Data centres can be financed and chips can be bought. But grids, generation and interconnections still require scarce human expertise.
