🇨🇦🗳 VANCOUVER ISLAND
The polls are in.
Due mainly to vote splitting, Conservatives may take 6 of 7 island ridings, despite having less than 30% support.
Here's how to vote in 4 to stop them 👇
🟢 Nanaimo-Ladysmith
🟠 Courtenay-Alberni
🟢 Saanich-Gulf I
🟠 Cowichan-Malahat

@ColinPlantNDP@NDP@bcndp@BillTieleman@ElizabethMay We've had a minority gov since 2019, and at no point has your party exerted its leverage to make PR a priority.
The BC Greens even managed to get it added into their recent agreement with a *majority* BCNDP gov!
You've chosen this team, and it clearly isn't a priority to them.
@ColinPlantNDP@NDP@bcndp@BillTieleman@ElizabethMay Appreciate your response.
It must be acknowledged that the @bcndp and @NDP are the same party - members of one are automatically members of the other. Additionally, you actively campaigned for them in the fall.
The NDP could demonstrate a real commitment to PR, but never have.
@ColinPlantNDP@bcndp Optimism over fear? The @bcndp campaign has been almost entirely fear based.
So glad we have a strong, ethical, truly progressive option on the South Island in @SoniaFurstenau and the @BCGreens 💚
The final hours of this election are here, and if BC Greens leader Sonia Furstenau's voice is any indication, the BC Greens have given everything we’ve got.
We’ve built real momentum. Now it’s time for you to vote for something - not out of fear, not out of anger, but because you believe in an inspiring vision for the future.
This election is about you. It’s about the people you love, the community you’ve helped build, and the future you know is possible.
Every vote is a step toward real change. When you show up, communities grow stronger, systems get better, and hope becomes action.
This is your moment to be part of something meaningful - to choose hope over fear, action over frustration, and to vote for lasting change.
Let’s do this together. Vote Green.

@RyanJH42@bcndp@GraceALore What on earth are you on about?
I enjoy how you ignore everything I've said and jump to something else entirely nonsensical. When did I ever suggest that?
Obviously, the best outcome is an NDP minority with Greens holding them accountable and to their promises.
At last night's debate, @bcndp candidate @GraceALore claimed that "if Conservatives get the most seats, they will be government."
This blatant lie, pitched to coerce people into voting for her, assumes voters are stupid and can't remember the 2017 election.
We deserve better 💚
@RyanJH42@bcndp@GraceALore Of course she was. @GraceALore was making her final pitch to exclusively Victoria-Beacon Hill voters.
So she was either deliberately lying or genuinely doesn't understand how government forms in BC. Either way is terribly concerning, and I would argue disqualifying.
@RyanJH42@bcndp@GraceALore The @bcndp have only formed government twice in the last 25 years, in 2017 and 2020, the same two elections the Greens had their best results.
This vote split narrative is ridiculous. The NDP should be hoping for another strong Green result.
@MmDeeders @deejayh67 @khadoni @bcndp@BCGreens@Dave_Eby Wish the grassroots in the NDP had more power in decision-making. That party seems to really crush out dissent, as it did with Anjali Appadurai.
@RyanJH42@bcndp@GraceALore She's demonstrably wrong. Christy Clark won the most seats in 2017, and Horgan became premier thanks to the Greens. You and Grace have a short memory.
If an orange seat goes 💚, it doesn't mean less blue any more than it staying orange means less blue. That's not how math works.
@deejayh67 @khadoni @bcndp@BCGreens@Dave_Eby Here's hoping for a minority NDP government with a strong group of Greens holding them accountable and pushing hard for stronger action on climate and narrowing the wealth gap 💚🧡
@deejayh67 @khadoni @bcndp@BCGreens@Dave_Eby@bcndp set that last referendum up to fail by making it mail in and too complex.
We need a citizens assembly to decide on the best system, implement that in the legislature, and then have a follow up referendum on whether to keep it after two elections.
NDP is silent on this.
Incredible turnout and energy at @SoniaFurstenau ‘s Victoria Rally!
VTB is going Green - get out and vote vote tomorrow at the electoral office and beat the rain!
@deejayh67 @khadoni @bcndp@BCGreens@Dave_Eby Whose strategy is it to let the Cons win some seats? If anyone has been doing that it's Eby who went to Sea to Sky to make a strategic vote pitch.
Also, if the NDP were really serious about keeping the Cons out, they would join the Greens in passing proportional representation.
@SunshineSuzieS@AntonvWalraven@BCGreens @SoniaFurstenau Greens are adults and are willing to work with anyone with whom they can pass good legislation.
Given how far apart their platforms are, I see almost no areas of agreement (minus maybe bureaucratic bloat).
The NDP platform, however, has much more in common with the Cons.
