New Jersey has some of the highest property taxes, rising energy costs, and affordability challenges in the nation.
Meanwhile, the State Assembly is spending time debating whether the hazelnut should become the official state nut. Not even joking.
You can’t make this up.
@GovSherrillNJ Start representing the people of New Jersey that are actually US citizens rather than putting our money towards people who don’t belong in this country
What a week in Trenton, and in Newark. 🧵
Samsung left. ExxonMobil left. 522,000 residents gone this decade. $31B in income - gone.
Democrats' response? Make the hazelnut New Jersey's official nut. (Grown in Oregon, btw.)
Here's everything that happened this week 👇
1/ Fortune 500s in NJ: 22 in 2018 → 15 today. @JohnAzzaritiNJ is raising alarms. @CPDePhillips introduced the fixes. Democrats blocked every one. Texas celebrates. NJ keeps the ribbon-cutting photos.
2/ At the Climate Superfund hearing, @RaviBhalla was asked about the jobs lost when Chevron, Hess, Valero & Sunoco left NJ. His answer: "We don't want those jobs." Thousands of NJ families depended on those paychecks.
3/ The Climate Superfund Act would hit gas companies with $50B in new costs. Supporters say consumers won't feel it. @MikeInganamort asked the obvious question. Nobody had a real answer.
4/ NJ property taxes: #1 in America. 2.42% effective rate. A $400K home = $9,680/year. Same home in Hawaii = $840/year. And Trenton is negotiating a record $60.7B budget right now.
5/ NJ Transit charged 8x the normal fare for World Cup games — then suspended regular commuter service on match days. Can't run trains on a Tuesday. Can charge $98 for an 18-mile trip.
6/ Delaney Hall: the unrest continued this weekend. Gov. Sherrill spent the week inserting herself into the situation, calling it "peaceful protest" even after a protester was federally charged for allegedly threatening to murder an ICE officer, his wife, and his children. That's not protest. That's a crime. And if Trenton thought @DawnFantasia_NJ was going to let them sweep this under the rug, they haven't been paying attention.
7/ Meanwhile, NJ families fighting property taxes, utility bills, and skyrocketing rent got silence from the @GovSherrillNJ. She'll fight for detainees. We're fighting for you!
That's Trenton in 2026. We'll keep fighting.
Families across New Jersey are wondering how they’re going to pay their electric bill this summer.
Meanwhile, our Governor is increasing funding to spend $20.2 million to protect illegal immigrants.
Start fighting for New Jersey citizens.
The Venn diagram between people who think you should get fired for using the R word and people who think you should be able to euthanize your child if it has Down syndrome is almost a circle
A few things I observed today while going toe-to-toe with Antifa at Delaney Hall:
1. 99% of license plates that parked and walked in were from out of state vehicles
2. Woman with clipboard acting as the “HR Department”
3. Antifa people literally foam at the mouth when yelling, like they are on hard drugs
4. If you try to smile and engage as humans, they yell and scream. There is nothing going on behind their eyes. It’s a dead, dark stare
5. The fat tranny looking ones man the “supply tent”
6. Everyone smells, and litters EVERYWHERE (so much for the environment right)
My conclusion, these people are quite literally sub-human anarchists.
NEVER let the media convince you of anything else, ever.
I’m not a Vegas fan, but if Carter Hart lifting the cup is what it takes for those heated rivalry and pronoun people to stop watching hockey, I’m all for it.
