Today, we hosted the Humanitarian Leadership Group on Supply Chain, bringing together key decision-makers.
Improving supply chains, which accounts for 60-80% of aid costs, means helping more people.
This event kick-starts a process open to all interested actors.
📢 As the VOICE Board and Secretariat, 2 days in Brussels 🇪🇺 to stand together for humanitarian principles and how to make our advocacy more impactful in the current geopolitical context 🚨
Humanitarian aid and responders are under attack.
This year, 281 humanitarian staff and volunteers have been killed globally - 96 per cent were local or national staff.
In 2025, world leaders must do more to prevent and end conflicts, and ensure civilians and humanitarian workers are protected.

The Global Humanitarian Overview (GHO) has declared that Sudan now has 30 million people in need of humanitarian aid.
This makes it both the world’s biggest humanitarian crisis ever recorded, as well as the unfortunate record of the largest number of people displaced. [1/2]
The new #GHO2025 looks like a big ask of donors but it would cost literally less than #peanuts. Global peanut market in 2023 was $90bn, fully funding the prioritized and targeted 2025 response plans is just $47.4bn. @UNReliefChief

282M people are acutely food insecure worldwide. But the burden isn't shared equally - 84.2M more women & girls are hungry compared to men & boys. #GenderInequality worsens #FoodInsecurity for ALL. Addressing this gap is key to solving global hunger. #WorldFoodDay
@jagan_chapagain@ifrc calls on #GrandBargain for massive reduction in donor reporting requirements on agencies and agency reporting requirements on local actors which are often excessive and don't add value - a low-ish hanging fruit that we collectively could reform
"We need to think resilience from the first day on. Many crises last 20 years." @Oxfam@OxfamEU@Oxfam_DE#HCBerlin This is for me why the Humanitarian-Development-Peace nexus is not at all an outdated but very timely & impactful approach. #NexusIsNotDead@VOICEeu_
