Its a version of the wrap up smear. Release bots to start the narrative. Media reports sentiment is negative. Amplify the bots. Media is now full tilt reporting that everyone is against (whatever the topic is). People see this, and when asked (polled) fall in with what they have read. Sometimes, congresscritters proclaim "we need to investigate xyz, we have seen too much of (insert thing here) and we need to get to the bottom of it!" Bot>news>investigate>rinse, lather, repeat. Once you see hiwnit works, easy to spot. Fetterman currently is receiving step one, for example. Watch for the other steps to follow.
