I was twelve on July 4th 1776 and the most disappointing thing to happen in the civil realm since is the transition of part politics from being for a platform to being against another party. The left ceding patriotism because they think it’s right-coded is the nadir of this.

It’s Friday morning in the North Carolina Piedmont, and I have this thought that keeps running through my mind. Somewhere in the US, a well intentioned, red blooded American is spending their last day with all 10 fingers. It could be me, it could be you, but it’s going to be someone. So when you’re celebrating this weekend, keep an eye on those digits.
