In the interest of full disclosure and because I see you some times posture here as a government transparency (anti-corruption) activist, I’m curious as to whether you can share the following about this shipment:

1-Bill of Lading, Airway Bill, Import Permit (for the importer)
2-ECTN (your shipper must know this)
3-Certificate of Conformity (or its waiver)
4-Final Approved Commercial Invoice to Mogadishu
5-CoO (Certificate of Origin)
6- Proof of the Somali Importer’s License (a quick check on the @URAuganda portal will show you what this looks like)
7-Any proof of subsequent shipments.

You cannot burn down the marriage and then ask the court for a certificate confirming the ashes.

That is the essence of DeWildt Eric v Mirembe Prossy.

The High Court held that a spouse who committed adultery, deserted the marriage, and subjected the other party to psychological cruelty could not rely on the resulting breakdown of the marriage to obtain a divorce.

“A guilty party is not supposed to benefit from his/her own guilt.”

Looking at the procedural aspect, the respondent had not filed a cross-petition, yet the court still considered the evidence contained in her answer to the petition. The judge made it clear that the absence of a cross-petition does not prevent the court from evaluating properly pleaded and proved facts when determining whether the petitioner has established his case.

In other words, a respondent can defeat a divorce petition through evidence in the answer, even without seeking affirmative relief by cross-petition.
