The first most prayer should be a prayer for obedience to the lord. Wives submit to their husbands not because he is respectable or trustworthy, but because God has commanded her to and placed her husband as a godly authority over her. Even the best wives will still see the best husbands as undeserving of her following, and ultimately her submission is about obedience to the lord. She can pray for these qualities in a husband, but he will still fail her in these areas and her joyful submission is still commanded of her.

@TerriGreenUSA It's hard to know how to respond to something when someone says God called them to do something specific. The first way we should test if God legitimately called that person to take that action is to ask if their "call" is biblically compliant. Sadie is NOT called to be a pastor.
