@lauragraham82 @DrDaveT Poorer communities would definitely be a factor and a good investment to make in treatment and prevention by raising awareness, limiting access to unfiltered water and providing filter water as these poorer communities are hotspots of this disease

@lauragraham82 @DrDaveT This is a disease affecting people worldwide when contacting unfiltered water in lakes and rivers ect. It has shown to particularly affect those living in poverty stricken areas as they don’t have access to clean filtered water

@Group2313 @DrDaveT The drug however has been really successful in treating this disease in 2012 with more than 35 million people being treated in Africa with 83% being sub-saharan African a poverty stricken area . This drug has shown to successfully control this disease over past 30 years by WHO.
