At the 2026 I-APS Meeting in São Paulo Prof. Guldi delivered the invited presentation “Adaptive Light Management for Energy Conversion”, highlighting approaches to control photophysical and photochemical processes to enhance the efficiency of next-generation energy-conversion.

Prof. Dirk M. Guldi has been appointed Associate Editor of @ChemicalScience as of 1 March 2026. He will oversee peer review for the Royal Society of Chemistry’s flagship open-access journal, in areas such as solar energy conversion, nanocarbons, and charge-transfer processes.
Prof. Dirk M. Guldi joined the Workshop on Challenges in Photochemical Sciences at the Intelligent Polymer Research Institute (IPRI) on the campus of the University of Wollongong, engaging in discussions with leading researchers, including former group member Dr. Andreas Ruland.
On 27 Feb Prof Guldi gave a seminar on “Adaptive Photon Management” @UNSWChemSociety outlining strategies to mitigate mechanistic losses in solar cells via singlet fision and upconversion.
