Grow for Talgarth is a group of volunteers who began working together in 2016 to enhance the townscape with flowers as there was only one flowerbed in the town.

The group has been entirely self-funding relying on donations and fundraising activities and was formally constituted in January 2019 when we decided to enter the RHS Wales in Bloom campaign in the large village category. In this competition we achieved a Silver Gilt award.

An entry into the national Cultivation Street competition was also made in the Community Garden category for which we were winners in the Wales and Northern Ireland section and runners up in Great Britain. #cultivationstreet, #GrowforTalgarth, #communitypride, #walesinbloom

We were out as usual on Wednesday 21st October ... in that awful weather but it was worth it as we managed to plant all the boxes around The Square. The bulbs will grow up through the gaps over time. Some of the group worked in the Mill Garden too.
