Do children have schedules, because that's what they need or because it's the best way to mesh their lives with their parents? #thinkingoutloud#girldad
Dropped my 11.5 month old daughter at #daycare today for the first time. It was hard, so just a reminder tohold and hug your babies tightly and tell them you love them even if they don't understand. #firsttimedad#girldad
My 3 go-to self reflection questions:
1. If I did everything I said I'd do every day for a year, where would I end up?
2. If I did everything I did yesterday every day for a year, where would I end up?
3. Why are these two different places?
For all the parents out there with difficult nappers, here's a built-in daily dose of #patience:
Spend a minimum of 5 minutes, 2X/day to get your child down for a nap. I try to use the time to work on my breathing, mind and patience. #dadclub#dadlife#GirlDad#firsttimedad
6. I'm going to finish this list with an obvious one, but an underestimated one just the same. BE THERE. Be here physically, as emotional support, as gopher, as jack of all trades. You are your partner's best support.
Going to the beach with a #baby was a questionable decision today. Not easy to keep your baby entertained, out of the sun and not full of sand. Sticking to the pool tomorrow.

#Parenting is basically summed up by dealing with a crying baby on a car ride just for your baby to fall asleep as you pull up to your driveway. Babies have a gift for impeccable timing!
