Don’t believe that Ketel is necessarily unhappy with the D-Backs. Would argue he just wants to be able to do what he pleases, whenever he pleases.
So the question is less, “do you want to be a D-Back?” and more “do you want to be a professional baseball player?”
Do you understand what that entails? Do you love the game? Does it kill you inside when you can’t be on the field with your teammates? OR do you just really like the money, the clothes, the jewelry, and the fame? Do you want to simply do the minimum and collect a check?
@Bickley_Marotta Devin Booker.
Jalen Green believes he’s the #1 option at all times. How does Book handle that over the course of the season? My guess is when they’re .500 over the first 20 games is about when he’ll get fed up with it.
@Bickley_Marotta Watched a lady light her hair on fire lighting a “cigarette” at a Tom Petty concert. I was a sheltered 11 year old at the time and had no concept of what the devils lettuce was capable of. This didn’t really impact my love of music. But there’s a life lesson in there somewhere
@PYounan13@PlayboyyyP@ChrisKarpman Skatt covered for a lot. Probably difficult to adjust after losing him. Injuries also derailed last season’s plans. The problem is we don’t have time for Arroyo to spend 3 or 4 games figuring it out. He’s got to fix this offense immediately.
@PlayboyyyP@PYounan13@ChrisKarpman I felt like when Leavitt was healthy Arroyo tried to showcase him as a passer. Which is not his strength. Seemed like the offense was built around Sam throwing to Tyson. Arroyo may have eventually adapted but the Leavitt/Tyson injuries changed everything.
@crtopham_ I’m not a fan of Dilly calling plays right now. Also not a fan of Arroyo calling plays either. But it will probably benefit the team as a whole to have Dilly fully engaged as a head coach rather than calling plays.
Also, very hard to call the right plays with Boley at QB.
@Matt96870193@ChrisKarpman If he were to take on an OC job I would think he would try to latch on with a bigger program than ASU. HC at FSU to OC at ASU is a pretty big drop off.
@PYounan13@ChrisKarpman His gameplan against Iowa St was great. But as a whole he did a very poor job last season. Even the Leavitt games were poorly coached.
@Matt96870193@ChrisKarpman That’s a reasonable idea. I bet Kenny would do that. Not sure if FSU is ready to move on just yet. And Norvell probably thinks he can do better.
If I’m @KennyDillingham and I’m insisting on playing Cutter Boley I would completely abandon the run game. Especially the read option. Boley is not a threat to run so it doesn’t work. The strength of this team is WR. Spread out the field and let Boley sling it 50 times a game.
The debate for the Cardinals shouldn’t be between Jacoby Brissett & Carson Beck right now. There’s a reason Gardner Minshew is here. Especially with Paris Johnson out now. It’s a long season. Give Minshew a few games before you throw Beck to the Wolves.
@PHNX_Dbacks@nickpiecoro Personally I enjoyed listening to Berthiaume & Brenly. I feel like Berthiaume genuinely cared about this team. And Brenly is nostalgic. Reminds me of when we actually won something. Apparently Kendrick & Hall got tired of Berthiaume’s negativity.
