@ErikNervik @BuySellBA @garyboomer58 The government should not have the right to tax personally owned property unless and until it is sold. Ad valorem tax is the worst form of taxation because it is based upon a subjective assessment of unrealized value and unrealized gains.

Regardless, no homeowner should have to pay taxes on their property which is really just renting privately owned property from the government.

So yes, some property taxes in some states fund schools, but school funding is not exclusively sourced from property tax revenues.

@BuySellBA @WarrickCamDaGr8 @garyboomer58 There’s no way for you to know that because business/equipment taxes are pooled with ad valorem taxes and that pool contributes to education in SOME states. Even then it depends on the millage rates which are all locally set. Stay in Argentina big boy.

The government should not be owed taxes on unrealized gains or owned property irrespective of value changes. People like you really make me wish there was an IQ test to vote.

@mark_slapinski The honest answer is to limit Irans ability to sell oil so that Europe would have to buy more of Russia’s LNG and oil products. Why we would do that is a separate conversation that most people are not ready to have.
