I just tabled a motion calling on the PC government to halt plans to open the Greenbelt for development, protect prime farmland and commit to building at least 1.5 million homes within existing urban boundaries. We can build the housing we need without destroying the environment.
@GSostakas@LadyLecce@StoneyHeart4 I’ve yet to have a classroom that wasn’t rodent infested. In one of my rooms it was so bad students kept feet up on the chairs in front of them and I sat on a table because they would run back and forth.
@DocMCohen@Mikeggibbs He has recently retweeted things in support of the freedom convoy … I think we can safely assume he isn’t basing any tweet in support of or based on science.
Conservative Premiers are violating Canadians’ Charter rights, hammering workers and calling for US-style, two-tiered healthcare with preferential access for the rich. Imagine how bad a federal Conservative government would be.
@deonandan I’d also add that even though younger kids in kindie can’t wear a mask perfectly, it greatly reduced illness the last 2 years and stopped them from mouthing things as easily. They just needed reminders to put it back on after eating/drinking.
@rickmcull@abc123xzy987@BogochIsaac Yes!! We need to treat air quality like we do water especially in locations ppl have no choice to be - hospitals, schools, etc. and then public sector must follow suit.
@JennaACunninham @Mlehman99@BogochIsaac Some ppl live under a rock.ur keeping your child in sports while doing everything you can to mitigate risks of long term health issues -good for you!I wear my N95 with asthma, while teaching & demo-ing gym.I guess some of us are tougher than others(like the trolls in the replies)
Thank you @namshine - this is exactly how I feel.
“shifting burden of public health onto parents — parents who are already working around the clock to keep their children safe”

@Mikeggibbs You NAILED it!! Take the pandemic and overrun PICUs completely out of the picture and it’s wildly inappropriate in his position. Add the context back in and it’s an abomination.
@Jaxel06@erinelmvale@CTVWindsor There’s literally no science to back this claim. But my guess is you don’t understand science, or how immune systems actually work, or you’d mask and get vaccinated.
@mgilbert1600@cody_allen7@CBCNews Very few children got COVID? Of the 120 kids I taught last year, 90 had COVID during the school year. The previous year only 5 did. When we listed masks we caused mass infection.
@jamferg57 @RPdarling3@YoniFreedhoff@OCDSB Hopefully more people start! It’s very disheartening though. People are willfully and happily ignorant to the state of public health at this point.
@RPdarling3@YoniFreedhoff @jamferg57 @OCDSB Well at my school I remain 1/3 teachers who are masking, and all of us have been since school began. Not a single additional teacher was masked today. So I believe it’s a fair generalization that no one adjusted their behaviour from a request that many didn’t even hear.
@SWB11219 @RyanJoiner20 @canadianbaykin @cody_allen7@CBCNews The federal government literally just offered provinces more for healthcare, they just had to show their spending. And it was declined.
