Update: infrastructure issues from yesterday have been resolved.
Effective 8/19/23, camping loop showers will be open from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM daily. The park is implementing water conservation efforts due to low river conditions & our need to be able to produce water for use.

Beginning at 0600 on Friday, July 7th, 2023, Guadalupe River State Park will be in a county-wide burn ban until further notice.
No wood or charcoal fires are allowed. You may use containerized fuel stoves (i.e. propane) for cooking.

We had another strong storm last and as of 1230p on Wednesday, June 7th, 2023, most trails will remain closed (including those at the Bauer Unit) to all users. Exceptions: Bald Cypress Trail, River Overlook Trail and the Discovery Center Loop to foot traffic.

As of 8:12 AM on June 3, 2023, most trails, including those at Bauer, will be close to all traffic. We will reassess trail status in the afternoon. The Bald Cypress Trail, River Overlook, and Discovery Trails are open to foot traffic.
