My siblings and I decided to jokingly take a DNA test on ourselves to see if we are our father’s children. This didn’t come as a serious topic, we just decided to do it.

We are four in number, two men and two ladies. I’m the oldest (31 years old) and the youngest of us is 23 years old.

Our father turned exactly 60 February this year and our mom is 57 years old.
We didn’t take the DNA test because we suspected anything, we were just doing it for fun. Unfortunately, the results that came showed that apart from our last born (the girl that’s 23), none of us belongs to our father. We did the test again in another facility and had the same result.

This isn’t the time to break our father’s heart and destroy our family so we decided to keep the results to ourselves and pretend we all are our father’s.

But we confronted our mother and she said we shouldn’t tell our father. She also said the man who’s our father is dead, he was the man she was seeing before meeting our father. She cried and begged us not to tell our dad anything.

We don’t want to hurt our dad, so we’ve kept this from him but it breaks our hearts, especially mine to see that, that man went through thick and thin to get us to where we are today. I saw him struggle so much when I was growing up. I keep wondering why my mom would do such a thing to him cuz he’s a good man

Though we are keeping this from him, I’ve just been thinking so much. I don’t know what to do. He loves us. He gave up his life and joy for us. I’ve just been crying on his behalf, and I don’t know but I just suddenly h@te our mother.

According to the reasoning of the Court of Appeal of Eastern Finland in the Finland–Nigeria v. Ekpa case (Case No. R 17/2025/918), are we now supposed to conclude that the current President of Finland @alexstubb sponsors terrorism by providing financial support to Ukraine to defend itself?

Does that mean every nation financially supporting Ukraine is sponsoring terrorism and that the current President of Ukraine is equally guilty of terrorism? By that same logic, should every one of them be convicted of terrorism offences? It is that simple. Or does the law suddenly change depending on who is exercising the right to self-defence?

How many Finnish citizens are being massacred by foreign "police" and military forces illegally occupying Finnish territory? When did fighting against Boko Haram and other genocidal forces become terrorism?

When did the destruction of slaughterhouses and extermination camps disguised as so-called “police stations,” and the dismantling of illegal military checkpoints operated by foreign genocidal forces occupying our territory, become terrorism? How many military checkpoints do you see on the roads and streets of Finland?

Why is armed resistance celebrated as legitimate self-defence in Ukraine but condemned as terrorism when Biafrans fight against forces guilty of illegal annexation, occupation, persecution and genocide?

We will allow other courts and other judges to examine these questions, and we remain optimistic that our Prime Minister, H.E. Simon Ekpa (@simon_ekpa), will ultimately have his name completely cleared.

What is good for Finland and Ukraine is also good for Biafra. Self-determination is not terrorism. Lawful self-defence is not terrorism. The principles of international law cannot be selectively applied according to race, nationality or political convenience.

This is common sense. Yet, once again, we have lost faith in the Finnish judicial system.

Justice must be justice for everyone, not a privilege reserved for some nations while others are criminalised for demanding the same rights.

To Biafrans and other Africans who hold European passports but have forgotten their responsibility to advocate for the liberation of their homelands, we will continue to maintain that 'your passport is merely a piece of paper', as explained in the viral video by Freedom Watch GB (@FreedomWatchGB), until European countries such as Britain and Finland prove otherwise by demonstrating that our lives, rights, and dignity are equally protected and respected as those of their native-born citizens.

The continued plight of Biafrans exposes the enduring machinery of neocolonialism, institutional hypocrisy, and international complicity in the oppression of the people of Biafra.

Yet, despite these injustices, our position remains unwavering: ALL HUMAN LIVES MUST MATTER. Must the conflict escalate? Must more weapons be introduced, more Biafran lives be lost at the hands of the genocidal Nigerian regime, more Biafrans be forcibly displaced, and our people suffer another genocide reminiscent of the atrocities of 1967–1970 before the international community finally takes us seriously and respects our inalienable right to self-determination?

How many more Biafrans must die before our lives, our freedom, and our right to self-determination are treated with the same seriousness as those of other peoples?

Perhaps the Finnish Government can fund the United States of Biafra Government (@USBGovernment) the same way it funds the Ukrainian Government, so that we can acquire the same level of weaponry and fight the kind of war Finland apparently wants to see before taking our right to self-determination seriously.

We are the people who set up a 31-year guerrilla resistance movement in Anioma, against British imperial expansion and economic intrusion, thus blessing the history of mankind with the famous Ekumeku War of 1883-1914.

We are the guys who, between 1891 & 1902 staged a major military conflict where the Aro Confederacy fought to defend its long-standing commercial monopoly, spiritual center (Ibinu Ukpabi), and regional autonomy against British Invasion. History remembers this as The Aro war/Aro Resistance

We are the guys who resisted multiple colonial taxation on our women in 1929, and 25,000 plus of our mothers came together in signature Igbo defiance to leave a revolutionary footprint called Aba Women Riots.

In the Early 20th Century, a local revolt by the people of Abiriba against the arbitrary authority of British-appointed warrant chiefs and unfair taxation, led to what history would later remember as Abiriba Rebellion.

Have you ever heard of The Enugu Coal Miners' Resistance in 1949? Oh, that was super high-stakes labor strike by coal miners at the Iva Valley mine in Enugu, who were protesting poor wages and conditions, which turned into a historic anti-colonial flashpoint when British police opened fire and killed 21 miners.

Are you counting?

Here’s another one: 1940s - 1950s, an organized movement of market women in Onitsha fiercely resisted an exploitative colonial price controls, trade restrictions, and taxation. What resulted from that signature Igbo resistance is remembered today as The Onitsha Market Women Protest.

I’m not finished.

In May 1803, around 75 enslaved Igbo people—trafficked via the Middle Passage—overpowered their captors on a smaller coastal vessel named the York after arriving in Savannah, Georgia. Their anger? They were mostly warriors from present day ANAMBRA State and were tricked into making that trip by the slavers. When they realized they were going to be sold as slaves, they staged a revolt, overpowered their captors, capsized the vessel and committed mass suicide by drowning themselves! It’s today remembered as Igbo Landing. They chose the sea; They chose death over slavery, over culture theft, over the misappropriation of their cultural heritage!

They were Igbos. We are Igbos. We are these people today. They’re all back to finish what they started, through us.

Believe me when I tell you the person who will steal and misappropriate our cultural identity and heritage is not yet born. Believe me.

For we Igbos, the battle for total and complete freedom doesn’t end in death, neither does it end in imprisonment. It simply ends when the freedom is won, and this is the generation of reincarnated ancestors who are here to secure that freedom at all costs. This isn’t rhetorics.

We live now, but we have lived before. If we die fighting, it wouldn’t be our first, but it would sure be our last, because we won’t leave this fight for another generation. It ends here.
