@Melissa35499683@JennieChavez15@Raquel_L_Rod It is important to give a feedback and I like what you said about setting a goal. Sometimes we take for granted certain things towards others and it may happen that they do not dare to ask for help.
@aileen_pitt@JennieChavez15@Raquel_L_Rod I agree with you. Sometimes they can have problems at home and we must also take into account that kids are not learning because they are not well emotionally . The same can happen to us
¿Cómo reacciona la gente al ver a un niño pasando frío?
Durante un experimento social con cámara oculta quiso ver si las personas que se encontraban con este niño, solo y sin abrigo, se detendrían a ayudarle o pasarían de largo
@aileen_pitt@JennieChavez15 I agree with you Mrs Pitt. We spend more time at school than at home and kids need to feel that they are loved, that they are great and that we are like their family .
@Raquel_L_Rod@JennieChavez15 I agree with you, sometimes we can validate each other just by listening. Sometimes people just want to be heard , to be understood. Sometimes we should give our opinion or our advice. We should just be there, giving support.
@JennieChavez15@Raquel_L_Rod We should apply the tree filters of Socrates: what I say , is it truth? Is it good? Is it useful? Sometimes it is hard not to make comments .
@Raquel_L_Rod@JennieChavez15 This is a very good point. I know that kids that do not have a right behavior get tired of being told negative things all the time and they just stop listening. It is good to end with something positive .
@JennieChavez15@Raquel_L_Rod yes, it is important to self -assess oneself and try to do things better. If we did something wrong , we shouldn’t be judged with prejudices without letting us explain. We should work to reach our greatest potential #noelliveyourexcellence
@Melissa35499683@JennieChavez15@Raquel_L_Rod I agree with you. Sometimes we as adults should learn to listen rather than talk, look down instead of up and be at their level. In my class, we have a safe space called Antártica where we go to talk , relax and calm down #noelliveyourexcellence
@Melissa35499683@Raquel_L_Rod@JennieChavez15 I agree I have enjoyed SEL time because it is time scheduled for them to talk about themselves and what they enjoy, we do not have this enough.
@Raquel_L_Rod@JennieChavez15 Being intentional in our interactions with students or staff can look like asking about their day or if they did something fun over the weekend. This can help build positive interactions and lets the students know we care. #noelliveyourexcellence
@cmatta88@JACortez22@JennieChavez15@Raquel_L_Rod I agree with you. We should try to understand other points of view. Sometimes it is hard to change our perspective and be in other person’s shoes .
It is nice to work with others and broaden our minds but sometimes I think that there are some very narrow minded
