@aileen_pitt@JennieChavez15@Raquel_L_Rod Yes, we get so focused on work that we forget we are humans and things at home can definitely affect students and teachers. Social emotional learning is helping pave the way to help with problems. #noelliveyourexcellence
@RachelGalvan15 @JennieChavez15@Raquel_L_Rod Me too! I remember having a difficult conversation with my superior and they opened with ..."how did you think you did?". That was a way to open up the dialogue with your own opportunity to reflect on ways for self-improvement without the guilt. #noelliveyourexcellence
@JennieChavez15@Raquel_L_Rod Having difficult conversations is very hard, but I really feel that it's important to build relationships first. When you have a relationship with a person, it can make those difficult conversations a bit easier to be direct but approach with sensitivity. #noelliveyourexcellence
@aileen_pitt@JennieChavez15@Raquel_L_Rod Justsaw a student I taught like 6 yrs. ago working at the car wash. I didn't recognize her at first, but she knew me by name. She said she was sorry for the misbehavior she gave me and all the conversations I had to have with mom (lol). She said she is doing well in high school.
@JACortez22@JennieChavez15@Raquel_L_Rod I love learning from others. There is a great opportunity to ask for advice from others around you. There is so many resources to try and better your craft. Don't ever be afraid to keep trying new things. Do not fall into the complacency trap. #noelliveyourexcellence.
@JACortez22@JennieChavez15@Raquel_L_Rod Yes, often we may feel defeated on an uphill climb but we need to realize that we are humans and we make mistakes and have bad days. We need to take it as a learning opportunity and never stop striving to keep getting better at our roles. #noelliveyourexcellence
@BarbraPadilla07@JennieChavez15@Raquel_L_Rod It all goes back to purpose. All educators share the same purpose and passion and that is why we chose this career. Not letting those struggles get in the way of remembering our "why", especially on those days days we feel like the rat on the wheel. lol. #noelliveyourexcellence
@JennieChavez15@Raquel_L_Rod I think its critical to know yourself. Your core values as he mentioned. Willingness to be open-minded and taking your missteps as a learning opportunity to do better. It is critical to actively listen and develop a professional repoir with staff. #noellivesexcellence
@JennieChavez15@Raquel_L_Rod Perspective and mindset. It's easy to focus on the negative or mistakes made. If we can CHOOSE to change that inner talk and focus on positives and knowing that we CHOOSE to show up daily and do our best is making a difference, whether or not we see it. #noelliveyourexcellence
@RachelGalvan15 @JennieChavez15@Raquel_L_Rod Yes keeping ourselves occupied and focusing on why we are here will help keep the gossiping to a minimum and hopefully extinguished for good. #noelliveyourexcellence
@RachelGalvan15 @JennieChavez15@Raquel_L_Rod Agree. I like Casas recommendation to defend the person or say something positive about your own interaction with that person. I find that we all can perceive people differently. #noelliveyourexcellence
