This song from the 80's caused ripples in the Catholic Church leading the Vatican to instruct Bishops in Zaire to muffle it. Mobutu also stepped in to gag the song. Most of us Africans who did not understand Lingala didn't know the meaning the song until recently when it was subtitled in English.
