@moonshaked@suchnerve Well yeah? What did they think would happen when they started throwing bones at starving dogs? Did they think those dogs *wouldn't* try to follow them home?
You can't just change societal norms so easily.
@whitegiant007@dhanlin3@SketchesbyBoze No, because the first time we see Vader is *not* after he is "Vader no more." For the analogy to be 1:1, star wars would need to be narrated by Anakin's force ghost, which introduces itself as "call me Vader".
Except as OP pointed out, that wouldn't make any fucking sense.
@madsssagascar Sure, we like to reward effort, even if it's unnecessary. If someone did a marathon in a wheelchair some would say that's more impressive than the run as well
But at the end of the day while the driver's 26 miles is unimpressive, we still acknowledge they travelled 26 miles
@plasmarob Reds believe blue means death unless other blue players save you.
Red is the only way to save yourself.
"Everyone is safe if everyone picks red."
I think that about sums it up
@Oneiorosgrip In your scenario, 100% of people must push red for everyone to live
If you think 100% of anyone will agree on anything, you're a retard
The buttons could be labeled "live" and "die regardless of outcome" and you still wouldnt get 100% turnout
Blue does not require 100% turnout
@BiologyPerson@Amalgamyte_VT I mean when you're told from the outset "hey, pressing red means killing all the blues if you win." Then yeah, it's entirely on you for making the selfish choice lol.
@theblessedsalt Look, I'm sure everyone gets this, people just have different sensibilities.
For example, im sure most would agree that putting a bomb in your mailbox is a step too far. But not everyone agrees.
For you, letting vandals break their own arms is too far. But not everyone agrees.
@higureshuuen If I wasn't going to buy, I wasn't going to buy.
But if I say "one piece is really good, you should read it." And get someone else to buy, that's someone buying who wouldn't have bought.
Piracy increases profits, believe it or not.
@DirkScott6@davepl1968@CHRISF0GLE Don't have to. Dave has graciously defined a right as "anything your neighbor is willing to die for."
As I am not willing to die for that right, he does not have it, with no additional intervention needed on my part.
Pretty nice right?
@GavinVerhey Question on the MB2 playtest card "Animate Spell" vs. Containment Priest: would the animated spell get exiled? Is it "not cast" because it's put onto the battlefield by a spell effect, or does it stay because it "remembers" it was cast while on the stack? #MTG#MB2
