@Beezus37644877@pokeefe1@mitch_fretton He was an incredibly smart operator - he kept us competitive whilst building a new stadium which we are seemingly reaping the rewards from
@RudolphN17 Whether we’d be making the waves we’re making now if he was still here who knows? It doesn’t dissolve him of all the missed opportunities where spending an additional £50m here and there could’ve been the difference (Poch etc) but overall, well done that man
@RudolphN17 I couldn’t agree with this statement more! His foresight is why we’re where (we hope) we are today. One swallow doesn’t make a summer and all that but his strategic long term thinking was all gearing us up for future success, whilst keeping us competitive.
@talkSPORT I tell you what is funny, is all the spurs fans suddenly celebrating Daniel Levy’s calculated strategy over the last 20 years to get us where we are today. We are a very fickle fan base.
🚨 YOU LITERALLY HAVE TO READ THIS TO BELIEVE IT.
If you own a home, have a pension, or plan to leave an inheritance, Andy Burnham's leaked economic plans should terrify you. 🤡
He is planning to scrap the capital gains tax "uplift on death," meaning grieving families will be hit with double tax bills on inherited family homes.
Begbies Chartered Accountants confirmed this double levy will hit grieving families with an effective 62% tax rate!
But it gets even worse.
Burnham wants to replace council tax with a new annual property tax of 0.48% of your home's value.
If you live in an average £553,000 house, you will be forced to pay £2,654 every single year just for the privilege of living in your own home!
They want to tax you while you live, tax you when you die, and tax your children for mourning you.
RT to expose the ultimate Labour wealth grab and demand a general election NOW! 🔁🇬🇧🔥
Anyone with half a clue can see this: parents already paying tax once, to then pay full whack for private education aren’t using state places, so they’re freeing them up for less fortunate kids while creating real jobs in the independent sector. That should be encouraged, not hammered with a spiteful new tax.
But of course, this isn’t about sense, it’s pure envy and classist bigotry from Labour. Pathetic.
