The International Guild of Battlefield Guides ~ our aim is to analyse, develop and raise the understanding and practice and profession of battlefield guiding.
Not all battlefield tours are the same. Our clients keep returning to us for more innovative, friendly and balanced trips. It doesn't have to be the same old coach trip. #HamCheeseorPate
We use 4x4 where needed, walking options, boat trips and much more to see the battlefields

This week in 1945, HQ 36 Brigade in Italy took delivery of TABBY equipment. Early model Infra Red night vision! Must have felt like black magic to those guys. Snipers and drivers the first to trial it. #WW2@WeHaveWaysPod@James1940
Donald Trump has done more to help Russia win in Ukraine in the last 4 days than they have achieved in 3 years! The question is why? Every Republican Senator should look in the mirror and ask why? And who for, not America! JMO

Hoisting a Captured German Mortar, St. James’s Park.
A team of British soldiers hoist a captured German mortar from the back of a truck onto the road of the Mall, leading up to Buckingham Palace in the background…
Another team manhandle a second mortar in the right foreground. This forms part of a long line of captured German artillery pieces stretching along the road, with numerous civilians walking amongst the guns. Pencil, ink and watercolour on paper by Henry Rushbury. IWM, ref ART1135
Stirring stuff. researching Italian campaign #ww2 Field Marshal Alexander to Engineer Troops @Proud_Sappers "Seldom have Engineers been faced with a more difficult task than the Italian campaign. Feats of engineering without parallel in any other campaign have been performed.

Well, no chemo today. My main chemo med is toxic to the heart and there are concerns that I may have reached my limit. I’ve been referred once again to the cardiology team. Back to the Marsden next Monday. I’m grateful for the team’s caution but it’s very frustrating.
