What a shame for the Delhi Police - and for Amit Shah.

A Hindutva extremist Swatantra Bharadwaj is openly boasting that he broke open the head of a young protester’s father, who needed 60 stitches.

He further claims that Kapil Mishra’s intervention shielded him from police action, and asserts that not only Kapil Mishra but even Chirag Paswan is like an elder brother to him.

If someone can assault a citizen, openly boast about it, and flaunt political connections as protection from the law, what does that say about Delhi’s policing?

What does it say about the safety of ordinary citizens across Delhi-NCR?

This lawlessness is unfolding right under Amit Shah’s nose. That's why he is unworthy of the chair he occupies.

Abdul went to inspect the govt school in Bengal where he once studied. He lost his father after they were attacked by goons (allegedly from BJP) for speaking up about the poor condition of govt schools.

It makes my blood boil that people are being murdered simply for demanding better schools.

CJP stands firmly with Abdul and his family. We demand the immediate arrest of those responsible for his father’s death. A CJP team will visit West Bengal and ensure that Abdul and his family get justice.

एक अमेरिका प्रतिनिधिमंडल भारत आया था। यूपीए की सरकार थी। विदेश मंत्री सलमान ख़ुर्शीद मिले क्योंकि नाराज़गी जतानी थी। बदसलूकी के विरोध स्वरूप लोकसभा स्पीकर, गृह मंत्री समेत तमाम नेताओं ने मिलने से मना कर दिया। खुद गुजरात के सीएम नरेंद्र मोदी, जो कि तब तक बीजेपी की तरफ़ से पीएम कैंडिडेट घोषित हो चुके थे, उन्होंने भी अमेरिकी प्रतिनिधिमंडल मिलने से मना कर दिया।

ये ख़बर देख कर सोचता हूँ कि तीन भारतीयों के मारे जाने के बाद भी क्या आज के समय में मोदी सरकार में कोई किसी अमेरिकी से मिलने से मना कर सकता है?!
