Heads up beachgoers! While it will be nice and sunny tomorrow, albeit a bit breezy, there is a high risk of rip currents expected. The surf zone is expected to be dangerous, therefore residents and visitors are strongly urged to stay out of the surf!
🚨 Coming soon to John's Island! 🚨
Construction is officially underway for the new Charleston Fire Department Station 23, located at the corner of Wildst Battery and Main Road on John’s Island. 🏗️🚒
Once completed, Station 23 will be the permanent home for Ladder 106 and Engine 123—bringing quicker response times and extra peace of mind to our John’s Island residents and visitors. 🧑🚒❤️
Check out construction progress in this series of photos beginning in August of 2025, and keep an eye out for updates!
