London listen to me if youre near a French bakery store right now, go in the store right now and put your hands in the croissants for no reason. THEIR CROISSANTS ARE YOUR CROISSANTS
What I think are worth vs not worth the money as a long-time collector:
* Worth the money:
- Physical media
- Artbooks
- High quality figures for series you actually like
- Investing in good quality storage like sturdy shelves or good plastic containers (extremely important)
I feel like when it comes to doing a historical movie's costume design you can either go for historically accurate or cool, Nolan bravely chose neither
Three separate but interrelated reviews
1. Nolan's Odyssey as a Film
2. Nolan's Odyssey as a reception/intrrpretation of Homer
3. What 1 & 2 say about the audience, the canon, and 'western civilization'
I want an Odyssey adaptation (and an Odyssey translation) that makes you feel in your bones how profoundly different the archaic Greeks were from us. Basically space aliens. Nolan is just fundamentally not interested in that kind of estrangement.
