@YankeeGunner I was thinking this too. They buy so frequently that their players naturally end up on the market. They don't mind selling to rivals and don't exactly hold teams to ransom. Easier to buy from them than most other clubs and you get prem proven players. It's an odd one.
Morally and emotionally, I find it difficult to accept how Arsenal has approached the Thomas Partey situation.
Even if you make the argument for Arsenal being wary of the legal ramifications of suspending him, what can be made of their apparent desire to extend his contract beyond this summer?
Arsenal have long led the way in championing the women’s game, and have traditionally been held up as a club that “does things the right way”. Yet they have acted in a manner that raises questions about the sport’s moral compass and how it really views allegations of sexual assault towards women.
Partey denies the claims but they are serious. And Arsenal have acted in a way that has left many fans feeling uncomfortable and conflicted.

The same guys who have been moaning about “phase 5” and “the project” are getting angry over the prospect of signing someone who will improve us immediately. I don’t get it.
