I have just learnt that Senator Cyrus Jirongo passed away last December in a motor accident. I was not aware that he had died.
This is very sad. Jirongo was a good and patriotic leader who served his country with dedication. We shall miss him. My condolences go to his family, relatives, friends and the people of Kenya. May his soul rest in peace.

The truth that most people here would hate to admit is that Babu Owino shouldn’t be anywhere close to leadership in the Kenya we envision under a Sifuna presidency. He represents all the ills we’re fighting. Kenyans airing out their reservations now tells you that they’ve just been tolerating him. Proximity to Sifuna is what has been giving Patel some sort of cosmetic legitimacy.

HE Edwin Sifuna was recently in Kibra, where he launched a music recording centre for Kibra’s young artists.
The artists asked for a recording facility. Sifuna promised to deliver. He approached his friend, the French Ambassador, and the French Embassy financed the project.
This is what our youth need: opportunities, skills, platforms and dignity—not handouts.
Give young people the tools to create, earn and build their own future. That is empowerment.
