๐ซ๐ท๐ฟ๐ผ French soldiers are facing SEVERE disciplinary action after posing with the Rhodesian flag...
Involved were two separate groups: 6 from the 2nd Foreign Infantry Regiment at their Nรฎmes base, and 4 training in the UAE in front of a Leclerc tank.
All in uniform.
The Defense Ministry confirmed their identities, stressed the incidents were 'unconnected,' and declared zero tolerance for "racist" displays.
Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) existed as an unrecognized white-minority-led state from 1965-1979.
Rhodesia often functions as a romanticized "lost cause," a symbol of a defiant, fallen white-ruled state.

An unemployed 50-year-old Murambinda man whose intestines have shifted from their normal position and are swelling on the side of his abdomen is appealing for US$1 064.19 to undergo surgery.
Approve Dowororwa told Masvingo Mirror Helpline that his problems started after he underwent an operation in 2018 following food poisoning, during which about one metre of his intestines was removed.
He said his intestines were left outside and he lived with them in a colostomy bag attached to his abdomen for a year, from August 9, 2018 to August 9, 2019, because his intestines were too short.
Dowororwa said his intestines were later put back inside, but he now has a complication from his previous operation which has caused his intestines to shift from their normal position and swell on the side of his abdomen. He now needs another surgery to correct the problem.
The surgery will be done at Sally Mugabe Central Hospital in Harare as soon as he raises the required amount.
Dowororwa said he can no longer do heavy work because of his condition and has been advised by doctors to do light work.
โI am appealing to well-wishers for assistance to raise money for my operation. I cannot do heavy work and I am struggling to support myself and my family. I am appealing for help so that I can undergo the third operation,โ said Dowororwa.
A quotation from Sally Mugabe Central Hospital shows that US$1 064.19 is required for the procedure.
Well-wishers can contact Dowororwa on 0778 933 317 or Masvingo Mirror Helpline on 0716 895 703 or 0775 036 812.
