It was an honour to inaugurate our IOC UK Kerala East London Unit Onam celebrations at the weekend under the leadership of our Kerala Incharge Mr Vikram Duhan ji, President IOC UK Kerala chapter Shri Suju Daniel ji and Unit President Shainu Mathew ji, youth president Sam ji. Hugh  congratulations to the Kerala leadership and the entire team for a very well organised event.  It takes huge effort to organise and make sure everything goes as planned. Very well done for organising such a significant event bringing together all communities, elderly, youth,  women and children 🌹🌹

Senior Congress leaders from Punjab, Pawan Dewan and Satvir Singh Palijikki, were warmly welcomed by Indian Overseas Congress (IOC) leaders upon their arrival in the UK.

During their visit, they held detailed discussions on the prevailing situation in Punjab, including law and order, economic instability, and the concerns of Punjabi students living abroad. The leaders also discussed strategies to strengthen the Congress organisation and broaden its support base, with the aim of securing the party’s victory in the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.

Speaking about the meeting, Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel says, "...There was a very detailed discussion because only a few months are left for the Punjab elections. आज पंजाब के कांग्रेस नेताओं और कार्यकर्ताओं ने मनरेगा को बचाने के लिए अपनी आवाज बुलंद की।

Punjab, the land of five rivers—which was once prosperous and known for its freedom and harmony—has increasingly slipped into a state of lawlessness, with incidents of violent crime including murders being reported almost every day.

This situation has caused deep concern among Indians living abroad.

I wish to raise this issue with the AAP leadership here , as the promises made to the people before 2022 assembly elections stand in stark contrast to the current ground reality, which has become alarming and fearful.
