The decision on Kerala’s CM may have finally been taken, but what remains deeply unfortunate is the vicious, unfounded attack on Shri KC Venugopal.
I have known him for nearly 30 years — right from his Youth Congress days — and in all that time, I have never seen a man more dedicated to the party than to himself. He has always put the organisation first, worked tirelessly without any expectation of personal reward, and conducted himself with a transparency that is genuinely rare in politics today.
What makes it worse is that he has held positions of immense influence — and never once misused it for personal gain. That is not something you can say about many in public life.
The attacks on him have been unwarranted, uncharitable, and completely false — driven not by facts but by blind admiration for someone else that led a few people to tear down a committed leader unfairly. Those who made these comments would do well to reflect on what they said.
Knowing #KCVenugopal, I have no doubt he will take all of this in his stride. His commitment to the party is deep enough that he will endure this without any bitterness. That is the mark of a great leader.
He will emerge from this stronger and taller. Of that, I am certain. 🙏

Year after year, the NEET paper is leaked and millions of students suffer. The Modi Government learnt nothing from the 2024 fiasco and yet again, corrupt and vested interests manage to rig the country’s most important medical entrance test.

This is a racket, and it cannot operate without those at the very top knowing exactly how the system works. Simply cancelling the paper is not enough.

Students and parents deserve accountability - which means that those in power must apologise to the lakhs of students who are facing this stress, and heads must roll so that this is not repeated again.

Enough is enough.

​भाजपा ने मातृशक्ति को छलने का काम किया है, लेकिन देश की महिलाएँ बहुत समझदार हैं और वे सब देख रही हैं। महिला आरक्षण की आड़ में अपने राजनीतिक लाभ के लिए डीलिमिटेशन का सहारा लेकर देश के प्रजातंत्र का गला घोंटने और संविधान की हत्या करने का एक बहुत बड़ा षडयंत्र रचा गया।

We are witnessing an extraordinary constitutional anomaly unfold before our eyes.

The Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam passed in September 2023 has come into force with being published in the Gazette only at 9.55pm last night.

It is shocking that the Government brought amendments to a Constitutional provision that was not even published in the Gazette! This shows the Government’s unprepared and lackadaisical approach to serious lawmaking.

This is also yet another evidence that the treasury benches look at Parliament as no more than a rubber stamp, not bothered about the procedures and protocol necessary for a fair legislative process.
