President #Kagame, Commander-in-Chief of the #Rwanda Defence Force, arrived at the #Rwanda Defence Force Command and Staff College in Nyakinama, to preside over the graduation ceremony of 108 senior officers from 20 countries.
Human Rights Watch on Rwanda is a 30-year pattern: anonymous claims, no site visits or forensics, sanctions first and investigation later. Richard Johnson’s warning on @HRW still stands: https://t.co/cSTjTnzoWI
On their latest report, @HRW cannot claim accountability while ignoring its own findings: Kinshasa arms, finances and coordinates with FDLR, Wazalendo, foreign mercenaries and the Burundian army, all dangerous armed forces/militias at the core of the conflict & human suffering in eastern DRC.
It should be clear that the RDF is not AFC/M23. Any serious investigation requires impartiality, access, forensic rigor, due process, and not conclusions announced in advance, or bombastic calls for sanctions.
The path forward remains the Washington Accords with balanced mediation, in pursuit of sustainable security, dialogue, accountability and regional cooperation.
One of #Rwanda's most visible success stories under President #Kagame’s leadership has been the expansion and modernization of the country's road network.
Improved roads have reduced travel times, facilitated the movement of goods and services, enhanced regional connectivity, and opened up new economic opportunities across the country. Farmers can access markets more efficiently, businesses can operate more competitively, and citizens enjoy greater mobility than ever before.
The impact of these investments extends far beyond transportation; they are helping build a more integrated, productive, and prosperous Rwanda.

#Rwanda’s minerals are certified and comply with international standards
Rwanda was the first country in the Great Lakes region to issa ue regional mineral export certificate, which helped boost transparency and traceability in the minerals supply chain.
There are about 400 active mining sites, operated by 259 companies.
Rwanda does not need DRC’s minerals for development. It has its own resources.

Today at Urugwiro Village, President Kagame received a delegation of 19 members of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) and their spouses, led by Rogelio Romero, Chapter Representative of YPO Gold Panama and CEO of Concretex Panama. YPO is a global leadership community, connecting over 38,000 business leaders across over 130 countries. The Panama Chapter brings together senior executives from prominent Panamanian firms and investment groups.
Discussions centred on Rwanda's transformation, the growing entrepreneurship ecosystem as well as opportunities for business and economic partnership between Rwanda and Panama.
We won’t see these images on European TVs when they talk about the Congo crisis. Instead, they’ll show you a crying child or a struggling mother—never their mercenaries fleeing in shame. Their superiority complex won’t allow them to broadcast their own defeats.
By the way, each was paid $8,000 on monthlybasis, and there are hundreds of them. They were defeated at the end of the month—who will pocket their salaries in Kinshasa? Remember, some M23 soldiers who defected from the FARDC in 2012 are still on the payroll.
Mushikiwabo is at the #OIF due to her skills, her managerial qualities, and her extensive experience in managing multilateral institutions, which have enabled her to strengthen cooperation within the Francophonie and are among the reasons she deserves another term.
The West has long pushed its agenda against Pres #Kagame, calling him all sorts of names, publishing propaganda in their media, etc. ....
simply because he ignored most of their suggestions &chose 2 follow his own agenda to improve the lives of Rwandans.
However, Kagame stood firm and kept his promise to the Rwandan people. They love him for this, and their confidence in him is unrivalled!

@freyntje@ErikSolheim When @freyntje was advisor to Habyarimana: 1. There was no poverty in Rwanda. 2. Rwanda was a highly developed country. 3. There was no ethnic discrimination 4. Rwanda was a model democracy.
Filip is right: Rwanda has fallen on hard times since he was banished.
